Dr. Chen has received funding from the Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund to support a new project, “Facilitating Student Success in the Psychology Major: Focus on the PSYC 217-218 Transition.” In collaboration with instructors and students in these courses, Dr. Chen plans to create a set of resources, tools, and strategies to help students overcome gaps in foundational math background and successfully navigate the PSYC 217-218 transition.
The project team includes Dr. Grace Truong (Lecturer, UBC Psychology), Dr. Catherine Rawn (Professor of Teaching and Associate Head, Undergraduate Affairs, UBC Psychology), Dr. Mark Lam (Lecturer, UBC Psychology), and PJ Rayner (Curriculum Consultant at the Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology).
